Time for blogging! And seriously, it's about time. I have been an avid blog reader for the past three years or so. I vowed to begin blogging once I thought my life was interesting enough for some sort of platform but even if my mom only reads these entries, I'll be a happy camper.
So here goes! I'm a 21 year old New Jersey native with a whole lot of sass and not enough humbleness for the Midwest where I currently reside. At the ripe age of five or so I decided to become a veterinarian. My poor parents, they really are saints. For the next thirteen years I bothered them for every animal under the sun.. From skunks, horses, sheep, and dogs I've asked for it all. So, I grew up showing sheep in 4-H and being involved in agriculture anyway possible despite my east coast roots. My parents are full on city people and I spent my childhood dreaming of one day living in Montana surrounded by nature and animals. I dreamed of caring for animals. Guess what? I still dream of it.
I moved to Kansas at eighteen to pursue veterinary medicine at Kansas State University. Three years of crying over chemistry, physics, and worrying about admission to vet school later I am in! Did I just say that?! I am beginning vet school a year early in August and hopefully graduating Kansas State University in 2018 with my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine! I hope this blog keeps track of my vet school days and shares some of my many passions with the world. These include but are not limited to: my God-like mother I was blessed with, agriculture, coffee, cooking, God, and the most amazing small town boy I am head over heals in love with.
Get ready world,
G
